LA GRANDE, Ore. 鈥 91传媒 has earned approval from the to provide professional development and coaching for districts receiving Early Literacy Success School District Grant funding. This recognition highlights the university鈥檚 ongoing efforts to enhance literacy education for young learners.
The initiative is led by Dr. Ronda Fritz and Mrs. Jess Hagedorn through the Eastern Oregon Reading Clinic. The clinic serves students from preschool to third grade, offering tutoring in flexible formats, including in-person and virtual options. Tutoring sessions are tailored to individual needs and available during the school day, before or after school, and in the summer.
Qualified tutors include teacher candidates, college students, and community members, all dedicated to improving literacy skills. Under the clinic鈥檚 guidance, these tutors work to help children meet critical reading benchmarks and foster long-term academic success.
