91传媒 Foundation Announces Historic Milestone with Over $1 Million in Scholarships

LA GRANDE, Ore. 鈥� The 91传媒 Foundation has achieved a historic milestone by surpassing $1 million in privately funded scholarship dollars available for 91传媒 students for the first time in its history.

This achievement comes at a critical time when the financial challenges faced by students, especially students in rural communities, are more significant than ever. Four out of every five 91传媒 students are eligible for financial aid, and roughly 34% come from low-income families. Oregon ranks 44th in the nation for state support per student, which means scholarship dollars play an ever greater role in making college affordable. With the additional support from the Foundation, more students will be able to achieve their academic goals and graduate with less debt.

The announcement came at the Foundation鈥檚 annual Celebration of Scholarships event, which recognizes the contributions of its donors and connects them to their student scholarship recipients.

鈥淭his is a momentous occasion for 91传媒 and our students,鈥� 91传媒 President Kelly Ryan said. 鈥淭he 91传媒 Foundation鈥檚 ability to provide over $1 million in scholarships is a direct reflection of our donors’ deep commitment to student success. Combined with the institution’s investment of more than $2.6 million in additional awards and fee remissions, we are ensuring that cost is not a barrier to helping us achieve our mission to educate students, and this financial support is crucial in fulfilling that mission.”

The combined efforts of the 91传媒 Foundation and the University’s financial aid programs ensure students from all walks of life have the opportunity to receive a quality education. The scholarships provided by the Foundation help to alleviate the financial pressures many students face, allowing them to focus on their studies and personal growth.
