91传媒鈥檚 online Master of Social Work (MSW) program is designed for compassionate, driven professionals who are ready to make an impactful difference in underserved rural communities. This advanced-generalist curriculum, accessible entirely online, provides you with a flexible learning experience tailored to balance with your professional and personal life.
Our MSW curriculum is grounded in social justice, inclusion, and human rights. You鈥檒l explore the values and skills essential for rural social work, focusing on advocacy, anti-oppressive practices, and community support. With courses on diversity, equity, and trauma-informed care, our program equips you to become a solution-driven social worker prepared for a wide range of professional settings.
91传媒’s Master of Social Work program has achieved candidacy for accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education鈥檚 (CSWE) Board of Accreditation (BOA). Candidacy status indicates that it has made progress toward meeting standards of program quality evaluated through a peer review accreditation process. A program that has attained candidacy status has demonstrated a commitment to meeting the accreditation standards but has not yet demonstrated full compliance.
Students that are admitted to candidate programs in the fall (or later) of the academic year in which the program is granted candidacy status will be retroactively recognized as graduates from a CSWE-BOA accredited program as long as the program attains initial accreditation. Candidacy is typically a 3-year process and attaining candidacy does not guarantee that a program will eventually attain initial accreditation.
Candidacy applies to all program options, which include locations and delivery methods.
Accreditation provides reasonable assurance about the quality of the program and the competence of students graduating from the program.
The MSW program requires 62 credits, including core courses and electives designed for social work in rural settings.
Our program emphasizes hands-on experience, offering field placement and practicum opportunities that can often be completed in your current role or as paid placements. With electives in areas like addictions, human trafficking, rural social work, and healthcare, our curriculum addresses critical needs in social work today.
