Students may enroll using the graduate application and begin coursework with ED 590: Foundations of Literacy Development and Dyslexia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program includes a sequential series of courses in literacy development, assessment, and intervention, followed by a supervised field placement. Field experience can often be completed in your own community, and practicing teachers may be able to integrate that work into their current classrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This certificate also supports Oregon\u2019s requirement that every elementary school have a dyslexia specialist and is part of the state-approved preparation options for educators serving in these roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a graduate certificate only and is not currently open to undergraduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accessible and Fully Online<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure broad access across Oregon and beyond, the certificate is delivered fully online through distance education formats.
