Peer Mentors will receive ongoing supervision and support throughout the year through group meetings, individual check-ins, and leadership development opportunities. Training will include:<br \/>&#8211; Eduology Peer Mentor Certificate Course\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; 91EOU-specific resource and referral training\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Inclusive mentoring practices\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Communication expectations and boundaries\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Supporting exploratory or undecided students\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Working with online students\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Event engagement strategies\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Crisis escalation and when to refer students to professional support\u00a0<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Summary of Job Duties\/Responsibilities\/Essential Functions<a>:<\/a><\/strong><\/td><td>&#8211; Reach out to assigned new students before and during the academic year.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Check in regularly with students in person and through email, text, phone, Canvas, and Zoom.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Help new students learn about 91传媒 resources, events, offices, and support services.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Encourage students to attend key campus events such as Mountie Days, Week of Welcome, involvement fairs, employment fairs, wellness events, academic    and career exploration events, and other student engagement opportunities.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Attend selected events with students when appropriate.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Help normalize help-seeking by encouraging students to ask questions and connect with resources early.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Support students in exploring goals, interests, identity, involvement, major options, and career direction.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Make appropriate referrals to campus resources when students need additional support.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Participate in mentor meetings, supervision, and reflection activities.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Track student contacts, referrals, and participation as requested.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Maintain appropriate boundaries and communicate concerns to the program supervisor.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/td><td>&#8211; Must be enrolled at 91传媒, attending at least 6 undergraduate credits per term.<br \/>&#8211; Maintain good academic standing.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong>:<\/td><td>&#8211; Tutoring<br \/>&#8211; Student leadership\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Campus involvement\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Peer support or mentoring\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Orientation, transition, or welcome programs\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; TRIO, Summer Bridge, or other student support programs\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; Supporting first-generation, rural, commuter, online, exploratory, or historically underrepresented students\u00a0<br \/>&#8211;
